Le concept de n\u00e9gritude est associ\u00e9 aux noms de L\u00e9opold S\u00e9dar Senghor, le S\u00e9n\u00e9galais ou d’Aim\u00e9 C\u00e9saire, le Martiniquais.<\/span><\/p>\n

Peu, en revanche, se souviennent que ce courant litt\u00e9raire et politique, principal mouvement d’\u00e9mancipation des Noirs, a \u00e9t\u00e9 initi\u00e9 par des femmes : les s\u0153urs\u00a0Nardal, Paulette et Jane en particulier.<\/span><\/p>\n

Les s\u0153urs Nardal, originaires de la Martinique, partent \u00e0 Paris dans les ann\u00e9es 20 afin de poursuivre des \u00e9tudes litt\u00e9raires \u00e0 la Sorbonne.<\/p>\n

Elles tiennent salon dans leur maison de Clamart o\u00f9 se c\u00f4toient Augusta Savage, Claude McKay, le couple C\u00e9saire, le politicien F\u00e9lix Ebou\u00e9, le jeune Senghor que Paulette Nardal fait inscrire \u00e0 l’universit\u00e9 mais aussi des artistes et de nombreux \u00e9tudiants, n\u00e9ophytes militants des droits civiques.<\/p>\n
